The first Internet band, The ClipBandits, drew the attention of mainstream media and pop artists alike as they became early YouTube sensations. Justin Timberlake makes a cameo appearance at the very end of ClipBandits’ video, “What goes around, comes around”. As was the case with ClipBandits videos, there were syncing issued due to how the videos were created using only consumer grade webcams and microphones with each band member using varying personal computers, operating systems and audio file formats. Regardless of the technical issues, the concept demonstrates the future of how musicians would collaborate and create music in the 21st century.
